Now, Chinese pet bottle manufacturers can use a mold with a non-standard cavity number to significantly increase production without adding extra stress to their machines. Jilian Plastics has just created this 180-cavity mold for a universal 500-ton machine that typically does not exceed 144-cavity molds, increasing productivity by 25%. More non-standard molds are being developed and these molds can be used on smaller machines.
