During the printing process of the Flat Screen Printer, the ink passes through the screen printing plate and moves the scraper to form graphics and text. It can be seen that the scraper can affect the printing effect. So what elements should be considered when choosing a fully automatic Flat Screen Printer scraper? The wear resistance of the scraper. Since the squeegee is in direct contact with the screen printing plate, there is friction every time, and tens of thousands of printed materials can be printed in the screen printing. Therefore, the squeegee is required to have good wear resistance, smoothness and certain mechanical strength to minimize Friction to ensure the service life of the scraper.
Squeegee hardness The transfer amount of ink and the reproducibility of graphic characters are related to the squeegee hardness. When printing on a hard substrate, a soft squeegee can be used, so that the pressure applied during the squeegee process can make the plate surface and the substrate fully contact, thereby improving the printing effect. Due to the diversity of substrates, the printed materials are also different. Regarding smooth substrates, the commonly used squeegee is harder. The scraper also heats up due to friction, so that the hardness of the scraper changes after the temperature rises.
When selecting scraper materials, pay attention to materials that are not easily deformed by heat. Generally, the hardness of the scraper material should be 60 to 90 degrees of the Shore hardness. The solvent-resistant board of the squeegee should be exposed to various inks and solvents, such as ethanol and gasoline. Various rubber materials have different affinity for solvents. After the squeegee comes into contact with ink or solvent, different levels of changes occur. The hardness of the scraper changes with the increase of the solvent, and volume shrinkage and deformation occurs after contact with the solvent.
After Stenter's squeegee is expanded, the edge accuracy of the squeegee will decrease, and the ink leakage during printing will also be uneven, which affects the printing quality. It is generally believed that rubber with high hardness has a higher crosslink density, and ink molecules and solvent molecules are not easily immersed in rubber molecules, so the shrinkage coefficient is small. In order to minimize the deformation, a rubber squeegee with higher hardness can be selected, provided that the wiper can be selected to meet the printing requirements as much as possible.
