Like most mobile games, EVE Echoes supplies some options for EVE Echoes ISK character creation but they are relatively limited. Initially allowing players to pick from among four factions, EVE Echoes happily slots players to the Amarr, Gallente, Caldari, or Minmatar races with this opening gambit. While each of those four races open their very own flavor or citizens to select from during character development, the effect of these early selections is somewhat restricted for new players. Each of the four races arrive with their own history, detailed in a section of the story blurb, and have slightly different technological capabilities. Beyond this, and most of all each race also offers a distinct aesthetic and pair of bloodlines for the first EVE Echoes clone.
Assuming you can pick from the opening four factions, then character development provides a little bit more diversity with a choice of bloodlines for every player to select from. Every faction comes with three default bloodlines, the consequence of each civilization's history, and players can pick from a mixture of predetermined looks in each. This comes to a total of 4 races, 3 bloodlines per race, and 8 prefab appears per bloodline. While this sounds like a large enough gene pool, I can't help but feel slightly underwhelmed by the lack of personal attachment this brings to the opening minutes of EVE Echoes. Possible capsuleers might be trying to find something a little more intriguing than the usual 2D avatar however EVE was never about the color of a pilot's hair and if I could look like an extra on Cyberpunk 2077 then will have to do while I save up for an epic appearing new ship in this new universe.
Thankfully, it's unlikely that new pilots will see that this face for long as you are once again reborn and find that, following the opening moments of EVE Echoes, you have been discounted and then granted a PLEX. From here on in it's up to you to grab your new ship and fly off to the unknown, losing times to mining planets and setting your work schedule at severe risk of failure. EVE Echoes may be motivated by, and require large swathes of the older background title to, the cellular screens but even old college gamers are going to need to get used to a modified interface.
As you start to tap through the launching tutorials of EVE Echoes, it is clear the total EVE Online UI has experienced a few alterations for on the go gamers. Most evident of these is the space battle and navigation systems. While much of the initial menu modifications are presented from the game's beginner tutorials, Netease doesn't hold back to the interstellar activity. Rather than attempt to replicate the big-screen experience of Cheap EVE Mobile ISK outright, EVE Echoes strips many of the outer distance systems significantly since it quickly throws out the action an airlock.
