Today it became known that the Fossil Group will sell Google intellectual property regarding a certain technology for smart watches, which is still under development.
The acquisition cost is $ 40 million; a sale agreement will be signed before the end of January. Also, part of the 200 engineers and developers directly related to the technology will move to Google as part of the deal. What exactly is a purchase is not known for certain. It is worth noting that the existing Fossil smart watch works on Wear OS - the Google operating system.
